4.0 out of 5 stars A capital book, 12 Sep 2009
This review is from: Real Cardiff Two (Paperback)
The book is an informative introduction and guide to Cardiff. Peter Finch uses his intimate knowledge of the city to craft a sometimes critical but always respectful image of life past and present in the city.

5.0 out of 5 stars fascinating look at the true, unadorned history of cardiff, writen with a dry wit., 29 April 2009
I really enjoy Peter Finch's writing. There's a real push pull of emotion in the book, you can feel how much he loves the city, but also his calm disapointment with the way some things have turned out. I read both books back to back, learnt a lot and am awaiting the next one.
