Product Description

Product Description
Nikola Tesla was a 19th-century American inventor, a contemporary and rival of Thomas Edison. He sold the rights of his invention of the modern induction motor to Westinghouse for one million dollars, cash. Yet he died a recluse, claiming a revolutionary discovery: an inexhaustible source of energy, whose power could be transmitted around the world without loss. This is a "factionalized" account of the author's investigation into Tesla's theories and claims, and the evidence that other people are carrying out his work now in secret.

By A Customer
Peat has no grasp of the real issues that the Tesla history has thrown up. Peat fails to find any reason why Tesla's contention that he had discovered a method of the wireless broadcasting of power with almost no power loss should be believed, and yet the answer is in Tesla's own patents, writings and previous biographers. Simply put, Tesla halted the electron flow along his conducting coils and was surprised to find that this did not halt certain types of 'current' flow. Exploring this phenomenon further Tesla discovered that he was dealing with "non-Hetzian" wave propogation - of a very very powerful nature. It was these so-called non-Hertzian waves that Tesla was using in the development of wireless boradcast power, particle beam transmitters and gravito-electric effects. Today, the Americans call this 'scalar electromagnetics' and the Russians call it 'energetics'. All this was known prior to 1990 and Peat should have known it. That said, this book is readable and did offer me some interesting leads on this fascinating piece of history...
