In recent times the issue of pastoral care has come to the forefront in schools. Many teachers have reported having to deal both with new problems and pupils personal needs. The role of the school chaplain has also been highlighted as a significant resource in addressing the personal needs of pupils. This comprehensive book brings together, in one volume, recent research into school chaplaincy and pastoral care and will be of great use to those who are engaged in chaplaincy and pastoral studies as well as those who work in schools as chaplains, year heads and class tutors and teachers.
