A few are well-known for their high-profile achievements, but most are private citizens struggling to live their lives as fully as possible in a society which, in many cases, is ‘disabled’ in its approach to people with disabilities.
All proceeds from this book will go to the Disability Federation of Ireland, the Aisling Foundation and the Camphill Community Celtic Lyre Orchestra.
About the Author
Fiona Murdoch developed a penchant for human-interest stories during the early days of her career, reporting for 'The Leader' newspaper in Northern Ireland. She wrote a parenting column for 'The Irish Times' and she is Ireland correspondent for a British recycling magazine. Her first book, 'Victor Bewley’s Memoirs', was published by Veritas in 2002.
