4.0 out of 5 stars a real "lose your self "book, 3 Jun 2003
By J. Webber "josiew58" - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This is the first book that I had read by this author. The unique Irish wit shines through and it describes the onset of a particular illness with a lot of passion and undersatnding. This is a feel good read, it had me laughing , crying and thinking very hard about the main character........the author raises lots of situations, most that can be easily related to, as they occur in every day issues in life. Have now gone onto other books by this author and am looking forward to the same kind of stories

5.0 out of 5 stars Inspiring.........., 14 Mar 2000
By A Customer
This beautifully written book by Patricia Scanlan shows three best friends as they grow up together. Mainly focused on Cassie it shows as the girls grow up in a small town in Ireland and then move on to the big city where they share a flat together. The book shows the trials and tribulations that they endure together and that friendship can be one of the strongest bonds of all. I particularly liked this book because the girls were ambitious, knew what they wanted and were successful, although still remaining compassionate and caring. This book inspired me to carry on with my education and enroll in extra college courses to better myself and I am thoroughly glad that I read it.
