After one years fly fishing I found this book invaluable in that it consolidated and added to my limited knowledge. Everyone enjoys the thrill of dry fly fishing, but as Lou Stevens points out, trout spend around 80% of the time eating below surface. By relating to actual "days out" fishing, the book makes for pleasant reading and teaches you at the same time. The author shows you how to approach different fishing situations on small streams, rivers and still waters. Where to cast, how deep to try and what flys suit best for the conditions. The text is supplemented by cl
