4.0 out of 5 stars more than you think, 27 Aug 2007
By P. D. Kidd-hewitt - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
Firstly, the book is 128 pages not 96 as show on the web-site.
It has some great photos.
It gives a unique account of another side of Roald Dahl - Dahl the inventor and philanthropist. It also provides one of the very few detailed accounts of the life of the famous actor Geoffrey Palmer written with his full co-operation. Historically you'll learn new things about Florence Nightingale, The code-breakers at Bletchley, and a little known but amazing black swing band musician called Ken Snakehips Johnson and lots more.
A good read for holiday breaks - all real and amazing people you will enjoy knowing more about
