Product Description

Product Description
Introducing Anarky, one of the most lethal and disturbing foes ever to challenge Batman. This is no common criminal or megalomaniac, for Anarky's plans extend beyond simple financial gain or even world conquest. Quite simply, Anarky seeks to tear down the very fabric of civilisation and start over. Anarky's quest brings him into conflict with Jason Blood, aka the Demon, and one of the most evil beings in all creation, Darkseid. But it is when his attention begins to focus on Gotham that the battle begins in earnest. For while Anarky truly believes his plans will benefit mankind in the long term, the city's Dark Knight protector isn't convinced. And that, quite simply, means trouble. Big time!

4.0 out of 5 stars A Great Item For Batman Fans, 19 Aug 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Batman: Anarky (Paperback)
Anarky provides a great addition to the Batman universe. Though his political views put him on the opposite side from the forces of law and order, he is far from evil. He merely seeks to make the world a better place for the average person, whom he sees as being oppressed by the big corporations and politicians of the world.

This allows the writers to bring up some interesting philosophical, political and sociological issues, which are all handled rather well and thus make for an interesting read.
