4.0 out of 5 stars Nice book, useful, 3 Sep 2009

(REAL NAME)
This book is a little heavy if you are going to carry it on the trail, but I did and it was very helpful and makes a good memiore when you have finished. You would not really need maps as well unless visibility was bad and you needed and escape route for some reason. The topo guides though are nicely complementary with much better mapping and strangely some of the texts are eerily similar!
