4.0 out of 5 stars Exactly what it says on the cover, 29 Jun 2006

(REAL NAME)
A great little book for the person thinking about taking on an owl as a 'pet', or for the person who's just obtained one and isn't quite sure about the different needs and wants of these amazing birds. The author does not feel that an owl should be bought as a 'pet' at all - a sentiment with which I agree. These are fantastic birds - and if you do decide to have one after reading this book carefully - it gives purchasing advice, feeding advice, aviary requirements, training advice - handling and flying... you will be far better prepared and your owl will be much happier!
