A pictorial chronology of the British SAS with a few short written snippets of informative text to accompany the images. All as far back as when the SAS was founded right up to the present day. Even my grandfather is in there! Tall guy, apparently, according to my dad, he swam 12 miles to reach a British sub off the coast of a Greek island in 1942-1943, after a very dangerous and difficult raid. I'm going off on a tangent,... sorry, back to the topic in hand;..... the book is beautifully presented in its black and gold front cover, hardback, (with paper sleeve), and a pleasent feel to it as you flick through. Not exactly coffee-table material, though it could be seeing as it is just a 'have-a-glance' sort of book, though you'll come away having learnt some important, (though not amazing or in-depth per se), British history.
Worth a look if you want a simple, interesting, informative, pictoral and insightful look into the history of the British Armed Forces secret weapon, the SAS.
