Product Description
The age of Art Deco is one of the most innovative and vibrant periods of textile design when sophisticated and exotic prints dazzled the world and ideas generated by avant-garde artists began to appear in fabrics and fashion. "Art Deco Textiles" provides a visual record of the fabrics which clothed the smart women and furnished the stylish interiors of Europe and America between the years 1910-1939. It is published to coincide with the Art Deco, 1910-1939 exhibition at the V&A. The volume encompasses luxury silks, handblock printed pieces and functional man-made synthetics.
