They are also waterproof and a manageable size. For walkers these maps are far superior than OS 25000 scale maps.  Comment | Permalink | Was this review helpful to you? Definitely worth the purchase, it's very detailed, also the other side of the main map contains lots of smaller maps and useful information, as well as a detailed map of the summit (and the parts to avoid, there are some steep drops and overhanging snow, beware in low visibility!!).. As for it being waterproof, it weighs no more than a normal map but is lightly coated to make it waterproof, i found that some water got at the paper just at some of the folds, but stayed more or less fully waterproof.. not sure how it would stand up to multiple uses, if i'm going back i'd consider laminating and cutting it.. but I don't think you'll find a better map for ben nevis.  Comment | Permalink | Was this review helpful to you?
