So far 50% of the way through the book and managed to make the exploration of Northamptonshire an exciting prospect for an 8 and 6 yr old. Haven't got lost yet, with the pubs meeting the Father's expectations. Lots of questions and things to look for to keep the children going. Walked lots of miles without complaint, please write another one Judy!

This is the best book investment ever, a great start to the long summer school holidays. We are approx a third of the way through the walks, having done them with two girls aged 6 and 7, but we got fed up waiting for the weekends to walk and so we do at least one during the week without the kids! They are short enough to be manageable for little legs and there's plenty to look out for on the way. At least one shop (for kids ice creams) and one pub on route (which keeps us grown ups happy) I cannot recommend it highly enough. I would love Judy to write another one please.

Whether you've got kids or not, you'll LOVE this book. Each walk is lovingly and accurately documented. a real gem.
