We purchased this book about four months ago and have personally walked about half of the ones outlined in the book. Our children are ages 3 and five but we have been happily accompanied by friends with children much older, in fact I would recommend the walks for adults as well. The book contains excellent directions, from finding a place to park your car or take public transportation, to which direction to go at each and every fork in the trail. Also included are hundreds of facts and items of interest to keep even young children occupied and excited about what is next. The instructions are precise enough to explain how long the walk is, if there are any steep climbs and also if it is suitable for pushchairs. I would strongly recommend this book for any person or family looking to explore the Gloucestershire countryside. We have given several copies as gifts. My only criticism would be that I wish the book was longer.
