A well wriiten book that discusses the issues of HCI as they relate to software developement. Some of the very latest research has not been included in this book, but this apart, the book is still very interesting and informative. A number of case studies allow the reader to gain an understanding of HCI. A good explanation of Computer Support Cooperative Working Systems is given within the book. All in all quite readable book on a complex subject. This book would be of interest to a level one/two degree students studying HCI or Soft Systems design, it may well be of interest to a student studying IT and doing an HCI module. Worth a read before you buy.
