5.0 out of 5 stars Great source for hard-to-find recipes, 23 Oct 2001

I lived in Morocco for three years and never found out how to cook some of the things that I loved eating there -- till I found this cookbook. The author has really done her homework. There are recipes here for some of the common foods you find in cafes that people don't make at home, and they're all delicious. I was so happy to receive this book as a gift; I would recommend it to anyone who wants to make a little piece of Morocco in their own kitchen.

5.0 out of 5 stars Superb. Easily the best book on Morocco's great cuisine., 4 Nov 1998
By A Customer
This is a wonderful book, beautifully-illustrated and including great recipes. It's written by the person who wrote "the definitive" Lebanese cookbook, cited in Loyd Grossman's new book on the 125 best recipes in the world. Outstanding!

2.0 out of 5 stars Great book, shame about the recipes, 17 April 2001
By A Customer
This is a very well produced and stylish book with excellent illustrations. All these things make it a real visual treat. However, if you actually want to cook some of the recipes, the stylish colours and layout make them much harder to follow than a more "standard" cookbook format. In some ways this may not matter, because once I got past the photographs and down to the recipes there were very few that I wanted to try! A first rate book to have around if you want to impress friends, not much good if you really want to cook Moroccan food.
