4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent book - no pictures, 4 Feb 2009
By Anthony Kesterton (London, United Kingdom) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This is a very interesting and informative book about how you could get into the space industry. It describes the problems and pitfalls of sub-orbital, orbital and interplantery spaceflight, and how some of these problems have been solved. It's an easy read (no maths or physics needed), and focusses on the practical (How do you go to the toilet in space?) and business side of things (attacting customers for your sub-orbital flights). It would have got 5 stars except there are no pictures or diagrams in this book. I would have loved to have seen at least a few diagrams explaining some of the ideas, and perhaps photos of the many historical events/planes/spaceships referenced in the book.

If you have any interest in spaceflight, and what companies are doing right now - buy this book - you will not regret it.
