This collection of guitar tab is not a patch on the "Louder than Bombs - off the Record" book, which was a note perfect transcription of Johnny Marr's peerless guitar work. There are some good transcriptions in this book, but others are totally inept. It seems there were several people on transcription duty in the making of this book, and obviously some were not up to the task. "That joke isn't funny anymore" and "I started something I couldn't finish" are very good, but "Heaven Knows" and "How soon is now" are hopelessy off the mark. As is the guitar break in Bigmouth.
It's great to see Johnny Marr's guitar work being transcribed at last, but if you want to learn how to play like him buy the Louder than Bombs book.
