Product Description

Product Description

Not a day goes by without Molly Bennett and Nellie McDonough counting their blessings. But when an elderly neighbour, Flora Parker, is robbed of her most treasured possession, and left without a penny to her name, the two mates jump at the chance of setting their detecting skills in motion. Meanwhile, Molly's youngest daughter, Ruthie, and her best friend, Bella, are making plans for their joint sixteenth birthday party. Ruthie is determined to look glamorous, a real knock out, to catch the eye of a certain boy for whom she's got more than a soft spot. --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

5.0 out of 5 stars More fun and lovable characters, 5 April 2005
This is another excellent read from Joan Jonker. We are back with her most popular characters Molly and Nellie, and as usual, you feel right at the centre of the action.

Once again Molly and Nellie are called on to help a neighbour and there's lots of fun and laughter before things reach the feel-good conclusion I've come to expect from Joan.

First class as usual!

I have read all the molly and Nellie books all of which i have enjoyed there are a lot of changes in the books. Soame times it can be confusing but they are great all the same. Thet always bring a smile to my face. In the violent world we live in it is nice to read about peoples kindness, and true friendship. Keep writing Joan.

1.0 out of 5 stars review, 15 April 2005
By A Customer
i have read all the molly and nellie books and have been really disapointed in the last two .Three little words and i'll be your sweetheart.i would have liked a lot more info about how rosie and tommy were getting on as well as archie and lily.also phoeobe and paul were hardly mentioned, niether was phils mum.the thing that really spoils these books is all the inaccuracys.nellies youngest sons name started off as peter in the first book and changed to paul.jack is an only child in the first book then a brother appears.ellens sons gordon and peter change ages as in the first book peter is the youngest.doreens baby bobby was born at least 10 or 11 months before jills baby molly but is only nine months in the last book when baby molly is 6 months. doreen bithday starts off two weeks before xmas and changes to april. in this book it states the girls left home just over a year ago.but tommys wedding was the year after than and lilys the following year.plus ruthie was twelve when she was her sister bridesmaid and is now sixteen.the girls must be married 3 years and bobby must be over two.phils grans name changes from maggie to mary. all these have spoiled otherwise enjoyable books and stopped the characters been believable.

3.0 out of 5 stars NOT BAD
Once again Joan Jonker brings us back to Molly and Nellie. So many of her books seem to focus on just these two characters. Read more
