4.0 out of 5 stars A good read, 5 April 2006
By Rachael (Sheffield, South Yorkshire United Kingdom) - See all my reviews
This is a nice book for people wanting to know more about veg.
Its informative, nicely laid out, and includes some good recipes.
It shows the different ways to cook popular vegetables, and information on some less well-known ones. It also tells you the best time of year to buy each veg and how to store them

4.0 out of 5 stars vegtastic, 16 May 2006
By Yum (UK) - See all my reviews
I read this book from cover to cover. The pictures are yummy and you can't help but like the man despite his penchant for cooking all those lovely healthy vegetables with cream or butter. Some of the recipes didn't really grab me (but that's just because me and the author have different tastes - I'm sure they're lush) but all the info on buying, storing and preparing vegetables is fab.

2.0 out of 5 stars Misleading title, 23 Dec 2006
By J. Harvey (UK) - See all my reviews

Vegetarians beware! I found this book from a search of 'vegetarian cookery' but in fact a lot of the recipes are meat-based. It does look like an interesting book for those who eat meat and want to make their vegetables complement their meals, but the book is no use to me. I'm sending it back.
