4.0 out of 5 stars A good book for fans of both humor and fantasy, 12 Dec 2000
By domus@apk.net (Cleveland, Ohio, United States) - See all my reviews
I really enjoyed this book. It's got great stories inside, good fantasy with enough humor to make you grin. It's hard to find good sci-fi or fantasy humor, and this collection puts many good stories all together for your enjoyment. I highly recommend it.

4.0 out of 5 stars good variety, 22 Dec 2008
By Perdita (Ireland) - See all my reviews
I really like this range of books (there are a few in the series of 'mammoth books' for comic fantasy)

As it's a short story book compromised of a number of different authors it's a great platform from which to 'delve into' a particular authors work, for me I've started to try and get more of Esther Freisner's work which I find particularly funny. Some stories I didn't enjoy as much as others but I think it's different personal tastes that would effect this!.

All in all a great book. If like me you sometimes need to read a few pages of a book before going to bed - what could be better than a short story? - It's also a perfect (and fun) read for the bus/train!
