This book is absolutely brilliant. The author tells you all you need to know about a best man's duties (and his all-important speech!) in a straightforward and really humorous way. I found it invaluable and cannot recommend it too highly. Thanks, John, as you promised in the blurb of your book, you turned a terrifying prospect into a piece of (wedding) cake!

All in all this was an average read. It has some useful little bits of information that you may need to know for the big day.

Advice on speech writing is very difficult as it's such a personal thing. You can try and take pieces from this book and incorporate them in your speech... but to be honest most of the jokes, bridging words, introductions etc. are all on the internet.

Anyone who has been given the honour of being best man must buy this book.

You can never start preparing too early and this book will break down the duties and responsibilities from 12 months before the big day right up to giving the speech. Great hints and tips all along the way, a step by step check list running up to the event and a simple to follow layout for writing the speech! There are even 10 sample speeches at the end to adapt and get the creative juices flowing.

I'm very glad I found this book.
