5.0 out of 5 stars Meggie Moon!, 21 May 2005
My children absoloutley adore this book! If anybody out there is unsure whether they want to buy it then my advice to them is: Buy it! My children are 3 and 5 and they think that it is wonderful. I enjoyed reading it to them because the langauge is so poetic and the storyline is good. Why haven't I heard of Elizabeth Baguley before? The illustrations are absoloutley brilliant and quirky. If you buy this book then remember to look for the mice in the pictures!

4.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable, but...., 2 Jul 2007

(REAL NAME)
This review is from: Meggie Moon (Paperback)
This is a fun book, but seems a bit lacking in depth somehow. The story is fine: mega-practical girl making things, but I think a page on how the reticient boys got to be friendly to Meggie or something about her would have just padded out her character a bit.

But hey, this is for children so maybe I'm being a bit too critical. But it isn't a book my son (3 yrs) looks for and despite touching on some very boy-ish themes: vehicles, and just hasn't really engaged him as some of the "classics" have.

It would be a good library book but won't be one I would buy again.
