5.0 out of 5 stars HILARIOUS!, 24 Nov 2005
By A Customer
This is one of the most hilarious and true books I ever read! I bought it in Scotland for a friend in Norway where I live now & cried with laughter the whole journey back! The book was too good to give away so I had to order another for him! After spreading the good word amongst bartender friends here - visitors be warned - be polite in pubs-or you may get told to go "away an fling shite at yersel!!"
A legendary book!

5.0 out of 5 stars Had me in stitches, 8 Feb 2005
My friend gave me this book and I then purchased it for myself as it had me in stitches. All the words I had used now and in my school days. The author is so polite in telling you the true meaning of the slang and then puts them in context in a phrase which just make it really funny reading. A must for all common Scots folk !

5.0 out of 5 stars Funniest Weejie book there is..., 1 Mar 2008
By Walshylass (Glasgow, Scotland) - See all my reviews
I bought this for my English sis-in-law, it is the best of it's type of book. As the other reviewer says, a weejie slang sentence is explained by means of the poshest equivalent... it tells an entire conversation, for example, at the Polis Station, from entry to exit, with the entire exchange in weejie/posh english... classic!

I am now buying it for an Aussie visitor, should be fun hearing her read it out in a Weejie accent!
