Product Description

Product Description

Jordan is one of the most notorious celebrities in Britain today. Daily Mirror Editor, Piers Morgan, described her as 'The biggest driver of sales of tabloid newspapers in the country.' A top glamour model since the age of 16, she was an instant hit as a Page 3 girl, was the F1 Jordan team mascot for four years and even spent 3 weeks with Hugh Hefner at the Playboy mansion! Yet behind the glamorous party girl is the real Jordan - Katie Price - single mum and accomplished horsewoman who is more at home in her combat trousers than posing in her G-string. Much has been written about Jordan in the press but here, for the first time, is the real story of Katie in her own words. She reveals the full stories behind her turbulent youth, her traumatic relationship with footballer Dwight Yorke, her heartbreak over a top Formula One driver and her battle to cope with her son's blindness and diabetes, and her own fight against cancer.

About the Author

Jordan was born Katie Price in 1978. She started modelling for a clothing company at the age of 13 and moved up to being a glamour model just three years later. She's rarely been out of the limelight since. Always ready to give her opinion, she is engaging, frank and a great storyteller.

5.0 out of 5 stars fantastic, 11 Jan 2005
By A Customer
i dont read many books at all but i did make an effort to buy this as i had heard it was good read,i was more than suprised. after reading the first page i was hooked bare in mind im not a book gal at all,(i read this in under a week) i just couldnt put it down every page you are willing to turn. you get a full sight into katies life she talks about things that are very personal to her about her son and her love life, she tells of her trouble of dwight york and her lust for teddy shringham its brilliant. after finishing this book it left me begging for more. although i found the book amazingly intresting i doubt wheter it would be sutable for prude types as she dosnt leave much to the imagination about her sex life and if your not intrested in the whole glamour modeling, sex lifes of the rich and famous i wouldnt bother. but if like my self you cant get enough of the rich and fabulous this is a deffinate for your book shelf. one word to summerise this book would be truthfull. go out and buy it i swear it will be money well spent.

This review is from: Being Jordan (Paperback)
This was the first book of katie's that i read and i really enjoyed it. She is very forward about everything she says and isn't afraid to speak what's on her mind! Thats what i love about it, it's just about her. It's a great read and i would recommend anyone to get it, it would be money well spent! :)

4.0 out of 5 stars Well Done Kate!, 11 May 2004
I, like a lot of women, used to get really fed up with fake pictures of bimbos on my boyfriend's bedroom wall. My little brother is also a huge fan of lad mags so I was always familiar with Jordan and her famous assets. I just didn't get a chance to like her much as she seemed fake like all the rest. I changed my opinion when I saw one of her documentaries and realised I couldn't have been more wrong.

This book shows you such a frank and honest side of Kate. I also loved the fact that she had written this book herself. I won't pretend that it is a work of English Literature but she is articulate and comes across as friendly and witty. It’s full of girly chat and some funny details like her ex’s willies! An interesting contrast to people like Victoria Beckham who probably can't even write her own name without looking it up in Heat magazine. They all get someone else to write for them because they’re stupid and it’s so impersonal.

I think it’s really nice to see someone so misunderstood setting the record straight and talking about some serious issues as well as fun ones. She's had some bad relationships just because she wants to be loved. I could relate to what she was saying about the men in her life as we've all been hurt at one time or another.

This book is well balanced and very easy to read with lots of good pictures from early days to present. Her family orientated nature really shone through when talking about the support of her family, her love for her little boy and her strength to get through. She IS a good role model so go buy it girls!
