Product Description

From her beginnings as a child whose imagination drew her away from her peers into a private world, to her days as an adult with all the burdens of a single mother, J.K. Rowling's story is a fairy tale. This biography is for all those who want to get closer to the genius that created Harry Potter.

2.0 out of 5 stars Too Shallow, 31 Dec 2007
A disappointing and shallow book. This is not surprising as the book is researched entirely from secondary sources and as such can only use information already in the public domain. Unfortunately, this lack of genuine insight is exacerbated by a saccharine-sweet view of Rowling that does neither her, the author or the reader any favours. The book does save the reader time by collating material from various sources but other than that there is little to recommend it.
