5.0 out of 5 stars A hard act To follow, 13 Sep 2008
Being an artist myself,I have found, skies one of the hardest things to paint, and when your painting is taken up!three parts sky.Its no wonder, that you can get bogged down, trying to make a painting stand out. This book is a great place to start,if you want your paintings to have that bit of extra something. It's an excellent book, that will guide you along the way.

4.0 out of 5 stars Painting skies, 22 May 2009

An excellent book. This is one of the most useful books I have come across and also the techniques are some of the most difficult to put into practice. The book will give a very good grounding in wet in wet watercolour painting. I think that perseverance is the key especially in controlling (1)the degree of wetness required and (2)the depth of colour. In some cases particularly when painting a stormy sky I found that the paint went everywhere.
