4.0 out of 5 stars Evil's never necessary, 16 Mar 2009
By Mr. S. L. W. Cockings "power543" (Bedford, England) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)

I bought this thinking hay its Dr Weir and a phase shifting device whoo
Not expecting it to turn into a political story.
I personally love the technology stories so i was disappointed
(Atlantis could have had phase shifting in season 3!!!, They already had Merlins device!!)

However I listened to this and really liked it, it was a good story good script and the voice acting of Torri Higginson is great.

Overall if you like this type of story or just another angle of Stargate then you should give this a try.

But don't be fooled this is not about a phase shifting city with "really cool flying cars"

5.0 out of 5 stars Weir's thoughts and doubts, 19 Aug 2009
I was surprised how much I actually liked the story. Of all the ones that I've listened to lately, this one was the best. It was interesting to learn more about Weir's innermost thoughts, about her doubts. I have to admit that I could never be a diplomat so experiencing what it would be like was quite intriguing.

I also liked the way Torri Higginson read the story. You could hear how much she was enjoying herself. And her interview was the best that I've heard on these CDs yet. I honestly admit that I dreaded it because much had been said of how Torri left the show and why she refused to come back in S5 but listening to her as she laid out her reasons, I could perfectly understand. And I hope to see her on NCIS soon again!
