I bought this for my seven year old so that he and I could learn how to play chess together. The puzzles are a clever way of helping you learn. On one or two pages, I found that the instructions were not entirely clear and I finally worked out that I could move the pieces in ways that were not described in detail. Otherwise, it was a big hit and made chess very accessible for us both.
