The new champion duly won the London tournament and furnished some equally fine notes to explain his victory, which Hardinge Simpole are proud and privileged to revive here. Alexander Alekhine - a colossus of chess - twice world champion and a brilliant author, endowed with the secret gift of making the games come alive on the page.
