this is the companion volume to modern chess theory 1980-1981 which is also available through hardinge simpole publishers. this book edited by grandmaster ray keene contains numerous articles which will help you win-suggestions by garry kasparov-endgame expertise from grandmaster mednis and even a refutation of the openig move 1g4.

this is an openings book full of articles by such greats as kasparov euwe timman and botvinnik. it ranges over the entire spectrum of chess openings-some articles are tactically based and some strategic-whatever your strength at chess this book will be bound to give you some great ideas for winning your games.
