People always told me I was amazingly quick when it came to mental arithmetic. However, this book offers some excellent tips, which I didn't know about. I feel it has really improved my ability to perform mental calculations.
In fact it helped me towards coming thrid in the 2006 Mental Calculations World Championships (just one place behind George Lane himself!).
So whether you wanna multiply 6 digit by 7 digit number in seconds, do some amazing fraction calculations in your head, or tell anyone which day of the week they were born on (from their date of birth), this is certainly a book to buy.
There are people out there [...] who have a reputation for being good with figures, but are not really. George is most certainly NOT one of these people - he's a true great when it comes to arithmetic (the best Britain has to offer!), and really knows his stuff!
