Product Description

Book Description
24 is the latest US Import for TV that is leaving the UK gasping for breath on Sunday evenings!

24 tells the story (in real time) of Jack Bauer and his fight to not only stop an assassination of the Presidential Candidate David Palmer but to also find his kidnapped daughter and wife.

With lots of twists and turns along the way the TV series is not only fast paced but also filmed in such a way the viewer is left with a sense of urgency and excitment.

This book not only provides the reader with character profiles, eposide guides and time by time analysis it also gives indeepth information on the filming process and actors involved.

5.0 out of 5 stars excellent read, 9 Aug 2002
By A Customer
It was a painful decision as to if I should buy this book or not - how the hell was I going to have the self control not to just rush to the back and read the ending - but so far so good I have resisted the temptation and am certainly glad I got it - it has proved to be a valuable souce of information whilst watching this brilliant show - frankly its so complicated with so many under line plots that I feel it has really helped me get to grip with the show and fully appreciate it!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Another look on season 1, 30 April 2003
This book does provides a guide that covers the first hour to the last, with a summary of each episode, things to look out for, bits of trivia, and background information on both the show and things like the American electoral process (which is good for non-US audiences). However, what makes it interesting is the fact that, rather than reviewing the episode (reviews can be found somewhere else), the author brings up a series of topics such as the effects of Sept. 11 on the first episodes of the show and on TV in the US as a whole. A sort of real-life connection that -- inadvertedly -- gave "24" an entirely different edge. A good read for long-time fans for reminiscing purposes and a nice recap for the new ones. The only flaw is the lack of photos and a further look behind the scenes.

1.0 out of 5 stars No Guidebook at all, 11 Oct 2002
By A Reader (Hamburg, Germany) - See all my reviews
This "Guidebook" was done in a hurry, and it shows: It does'nt contain much more then Then a narration of the first season episodes. No Intervies, no look behind the scenes, nothing but the quite irrelevant musings of the author about topics whitch are very loosly relateted to each episode. Very disapointing.

1.0 out of 5 stars Jack Bauer would not like it
I have a great affinity with 24. Jack Bauer and i have led similar lives. I looked forward to this book, but it was nothing more than a trite attempt at an episode guide. Read more

1.0 out of 5 stars Overrated
Black Caesar has never been big fan of Television. 24 an exception. Stylish pacing and heart stopping action. This book delivers none of those things and cheapens the genre. Read more
