5.0 out of 5 stars Outdated edition, 1 Oct 2006
Thelonius Funk's review refers to an outdated edition, researched in 2002. The 8th edition of The Rough Guide to Ireland was not published until July 2006.

As one of the book's co-authors I'm making this comment, but Amazon will not allow me to do so without rating the book via its star system. My rating should be ignored. It's up to the readers to make up their own minds.

3.0 out of 5 stars OK but watch out for inaccuracies, 22 Mar 2006
Not bad overall but we found a few bum notes in this tome, particularly in Dublin. There are better books, but if you got it as a gift all well and good. Enjoy Ireland it's a fabulous place with friendly folks, stunning countryside and great Guinness.
