Whilst packed full of information, the plot lost it's way a little. The edges of the story were a bit vague and often repeated. Having a key to the plot at the beginning rather ruined the story for me though. The last hundred pages of index should be avoided as they are a bit of a spoiler.
Need to link this up with other books in the series to get the big picture.
