The trek lengths start at close to 100km (60 miles) and demand a minimum of five days to complete, so for all of them meticulous planning and expert guidance is often necessary. Treks vary from an ancient pilgrim route, a trail on a frozen river, Macchu Picchu's mystical ruins, a yak-supported trek into the heart of the Himalayas and a summit expedition up Africa's snow peak, Kilimanjaro. Route maps and fact panels are included.
