Strip maps pinpoint every route and give a reliable idea of distance and timings.

About the Author

Jim Thomson has lived in the Picos de Europa for 13 years. Together, he and his wife lead treks in the local mountains and other destinations such as South America and Nepal, and run the small Hotel Torrecerredo. Ilja Schroder has been working as a nature photographer and observer for 17 years. He has lived in the Pyrenees and Cordillera Cantabrica since 1989, where he specializes in photographing and studying the behaviour of wolves and bears. Consultant Victor Saunders is an internationally respected climber, qualified alpine guide and previous winner of the Boardman-Tasker prize.

"Suspense, romance, terror and intrigue, this book has got the lot. As the plot reveals itself, you are immersed in the incredible scenery of Northern Spain. An absolutely outstanding work of art. At only 19.00 a copy, I found it extremely good value. So much so, that I bought numerous copies to present to all of my friends and family at Christmas and Birthdays. My brother who is a keen walker, his wife and family run a hotel in Northern Spain and this book has solved the on going problem of what to buy them on these occasions. Well done and I can't wait for the sequel"

Stumbled upon this in a bookshop three years ago having already bought the same publishers companion book on the Alps.
I have found this book far more inspiring. It has already prompted four Pyrenean adventures and dreams of many more throughout northern Spain.
Wonderful.
