5.0 out of 5 stars Bill Oddie's Introduction to Bird Watching, 20 May 2002
By D. Beattie (Lancashire, England) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
Everything you need to know about the subject, especially if you are new to the activity. Written in an understandable style, even when using "birder" words like leucistic etc. Bill combines experience with common sense so that anyone can get enthused about birds.Well illustrated both with photographs and illustrations. Bill also has a chapter on the use of the internet to learn even more. This book is an absolute gem.

5.0 out of 5 stars Extremely Good, 18 Nov 2007
By misterbright "George" (Batley, England) - See all my reviews
As my title says extremely good. This book gives you alot of information about birds but it is not a field guide or a where to watch book. This book tells you all you need to know about birdwatching and fieldcraft. It is excellent but the thing is it isnt a short read. It will take you a few days if not weeks but it is well worth reading it all. Mind you im only 12 so if your an adult you might be able to read it faster. I would really recomend it! 5 stars
