5.0 out of 5 stars Very interesting, 22 July 2004
I bought this book after having read "The Da Vinci Code". I cannot begin to explain how helpful this book was. It is a guideline to all the topics that one may have thought of throughout the "Code" and tells us of actual historical facts. I suppose that most of us are left wondering what is historically acurate and what not after having read the "Code". Well this book helps alot. I would recommend it to anyone who wishes to get their facts straight and to clarify the line between fact and fiction.

2.0 out of 5 stars A disappointment after the code itself, 30 Aug 2004
By A Customer
I bought the Da Vinci Code as a holiday read and thoroughly enjoyed it. I was looking forward to reading this book as a follow up, with a view to analysing the background. Sadly, I was most disappointed.

I felt that the book was selective in its subject matter, had varying levels of depth on the topics that were dealt with and generally was not very user friendly.

The only reason buy this book is to shed more light on the Da Vinci Code itself and for me it failed to do so.
