5.0 out of 5 stars primary resource, 15 April 2009
By K. Middleton (Durham) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
An excellent resource for primary school teachers looking for examples of writing genre. I have used it to introduce a genre and to identify features before moving on to developing our own writing. Excellent also for 'Assessment for Learning' as examples contain punctuation, connectives, openers and paragraphing for children to identify and discuss how the writing could be improved. An invaluable resource.
The year 6 book was also excellent in the run up to SATs to look at and remind children of the necessary success criteria for a variety of genre.
