5.0 out of 5 stars Dorset (Visitor Guide), 17 Jul 2009
By M. Burgess (Poole) - See all my reviews

I moved to Dorset two years ago and wanted to explore the natural beauty.
So I bought this book!
What a beautiful book - incredibly informative and full of stunning photos. This has become my 'bible'.
For the money you could not do better. with maps, tips and a wealth of history you wouldn't need any other publication apart from a good OS Map! Sorted

1.0 out of 5 stars Carcentric, 16 Jun 2009
By R. P. Sedgwick "Grim Rob" (UK) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This book was of limited use to me as it was written entirely with the car driver in mind. There is not a single mention in the entire book of buses or trains, or advice on using them - despite there being a very good bus and train service in many of the towns in Dorset. Instead I had to gather leaflets from various places and use the Internet.
