i just finished reading this 'book', and being an avid fan of romero and all his works, i only managed to spot one incorrect fact!

it has changed my perspective on romero - all my life i have loved him and thought things have been fine for him and that his films were all great, however the opinions and perspectives conveyed within this 'book' have swayed me to the fact that romero has had so much trouble, and his only real successful films were night and dawn; to which night didn't make him a penny because of it accidently being released into the public domain!

george is portrayed in this 'book' to be quite amateurish, bewildered and confused within the film industry, and roughly 80% of all his films have been either rushed into completion, abandoned during production or not the full rendition of what he wanted to accomplish. this is mainly due to arguments between production crew about the direction the film should take, or, and the most common, financial restrictions.

so yes, to romero fans who are interested in the life of george romero, this is only a very mini biography - if that.

this pocket essential is simply just a 'this is your life' book, filled with many opinions of the writers.

i have seen all the films mentioned in this 'book' and i would only agree with about 60% of the reviews.

most of the information in this can be found on wikipedia if im honest, but its still a nice little add-on for your romero fan collection, and serves a nice little read.
