3.0 out of 5 stars Throway pulp or critique of American values, 31 Oct 2001
By A Customer
Hudson, a successful but ruthless used-car salesman and movie-buff, decides to fulfil a life-time ambition and produce a movie. Washed-up ex-producer now married to Hudson's strange mother helps and then double-crosses him. Movie is brilliant but only 63 minutes long. Studio boss says movies must be 90 minutes long and will not release it. Hudson the artist will not budge.

Willeford's style is very direct and readable and he is scathing about the American way of life, satirising every aspect of it - from Mother as goddess to business as king. Not a lot of woman chasing though.
