Let's keep it that way. Ill-written, ill thought out, sentimental tripe and drivel. If the author had not been who he is no publisher would have wasted trees on it.

Very basic writing. No consistency in story. It is the worst book I read in a long time. So so disappointing.
HASH(0x9d3b1f18) out of 5 stars Interesting plot, poorly developed 25 Mar. 2014
By E. P. Farrell - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
The plot of this book is interesting, concerning a battle for possession of a young child, Unfortunately, much of the story is boring, The writing is often stilted, spelling out, with a lack of subtlety, what individuals were thinking. The author goes into great detail the legal arguments in the court case, but omits entirely the reason behind the decision of the judge. I don't recommend it to anyone except, perhaps, a lawyer.

HASH(0x9d37a30c) out of 5 stars adoption battle 30 July 2013
By sian - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
Readers should bear in mind that Alan Shatter wrote this book in Ireland in the late eighties, when even contraception and divorce were thorny issues, never mind abortion. He was a lawyer with family law expertise and obviously wrote the book to highlight the issues when the child's welfare was not always put first in an adoption case, and also it seems , taking a dig at the hypocrisy abounding in some quarters at the time. This is not an erotic novel!
