Product Description

Product Description

This fantastic illustrated biography traces the story of Destiny's Child, from the orginal quartet started by Beyonce Knowles, to the Grammy-award winning, septuple-platinum, superstar trio who bestride the modern pop world like a spandex colossus. In the last two years of a ten-year career plagued by controversy, Destiny's Child, under the watchful eye of Beyonce's manager father Mathew Knowles, have weathered dizzying ups and downs, including a lawsuit filed against them by two ex-members. But the group have come through it all, and their third album, Survivor, is another global smash. With colour photos throughout, inside info about Beyonce and fellow group members Kelly and Michelle, a guide to their albums and a look at what the future holds for them, this is the amazing story of Destiny's Child, behind the scenes and in full.

3.0 out of 5 stars its worth it for the glossy pictures, 18 Jul 2003
By Holly (England) - See all my reviews
I bought this book intending on getting a view on the band that i have never seen, but instead i got a whole load of glossy prints. which is really good, they say a picture tells a thousand words, well i think who ever said that was right! there are many pictures, like that of when they were younger and less experienced in the ways of the music industry, little pictures of them in their childhood also many pictures which show how successful they are today, you've got to salute them for it!
this book is good for the content too, it tells you their story about how they got to fame and how their nearly lost it several times!
I'm a big fan of them and this book is a little guide really to what they are about, also its thinner, so for people who want to know the DC story, its there in short.
