5.0 out of 5 stars thunderbirds great book, 28 Mar 2001
By A Customer
Yep this book is well worth the money. Five books in one is what it is. I liked the episode guides and also the making of sections. Absolutely brilliant book. Well worth 10 out of 10.

5.0 out of 5 stars FABulous, 27 April 2001
By A Customer
I bought this book for my 9 year old son for Christmas as he is really into Thunderbirds but he keeps complaining because he doesn't get a chance to read it as I keep borrowing it ! A great book for reading from cover to cover or for just dipping into every now and again. A must for any Thunderbirds fan, young or old (like me).

3.0 out of 5 stars Arguably complete; decidedly giddy: Thunderbirds, 1 May 2003
By A Customer
"The Complete Book Of Thunderbirds," penned by Fanderson chairman Chris Bentley, presents a largely capable companion to the cult TV classic by Gerry and Sylvia Anderson. It is full of colorful photographs and trivial information on each of the 32 episodes, yet presents a rather clinical, fanboy view of the series overall. As many fans have become used to over the years, the focus is largely on the mighty machines of International Rescue rather than on the show's stars, the heroic Tracy family. There's more than enough ego-stroking of Gerry Anderson (who contributed the foreword), while Sylvia Anderson's vital contributions are largely ignored, typical of this "Boys' Own" mini-macho genre. This becomes patently obvious when the author negates her well-established character development by confusing the birth order of the Tracy brothers (John older than Virgil? Which series was he watching)?

Even when focusing on the characters, the bulk of the presentation appears lifted from "Thunderbirds Are Go" by John Marriott, a far more thoughtful handling of the same material. As for this giddy, frothy, glossy edition, it is much like the famed Thunderbird 1: it goes along quickly and looks quite flashy, but it doesn't really do much upon arrival.
