A valuable record of a little known but most crucial area of WW2. I was born in Tobermory and thus have a particular interest in the book and its contents. "Monkey Brand" Stephenson's exploits have been well documented elsewhere which made it all the more interesting to read of the RAF and other bases and the most valuable contribution they made to the Battle of the Atlantic. The selection of photographs is good and covers the contents nicely. A small piece of history maybe, but the writer is to be congratulated on recording it before it is irretrievably lost through the passage of time.
