The train operators are colour coded for ease of planning and scenic railway routes are highlighted. The map also highlights 200 tourist destinations, showing main visitor attractions and tourist information offices. Castles, museums, National Parks and other places of interest are marked with clear symbols.

Disappointing publication that fails to show the smaller railway stations. Additionally, apart from London, separate maps are not provided of the rail network in other cities. An example is Birmingham which has a major rail network but only two of it's stations are represented on this map. For anybody looking for a complete guide to the UK passenger network, this is not it.

The first reviewer wrote "For anybody looking for a complete guide to the UK passenger network, this is not it". This is hardly surprising, as a complete guide to the UK passenger network could not possibly take the form of a single map. The "Rail Atlas of Great Britain and Ireland" is much more complete - and it comprises over 100 pages. So the review was most unfair. The map does show some things that are not in the atlas (for example, scenic routes are indicated) and it is useful as far as it goes. It cannot go further, on just a single sheet.
