I've been a big fan of popout maps for years, so for a long weekend in Paris (my OH's birthday) I naturally turned to them again, and they didn't let me down. The construction is, as always, sturdy and compact, so you won't wreck it by checking it every five minutes (as we often did!) and all the info you want is there, including indices of street names, blowups of the most popular areas, etc.

If you're going for a week or so, buy a guidebook and use this as a supplementary quick aid. But if you're only going for a weekend and know where you want to go, you can easily get by with just this map. Lovely.

Great, compact, practical map and with the 3 parts you get all you need in one conveniently sized pocket map. Highly recommended.

Bought this popout map and used it in Paris in august 09.
Having been pleased with popout maps of other cities, I was disappointed with this one as it didn't give enough detail to navigate the city easily - too many streets missing from the maps and its definition of central Paris was somewhat smaller than mine.
A shame as I think that these maps are really handy and I have happily used them in other cities.
I was frustrated enough to buy a Michelin street atlas in a Paris bookshop which had too much detail and is quite heavy to carry everywhere. It was excellent and easy to read and even told me where metro exits and entrances were.
